A letter of thanks and a testimonial to Cindy Sillerud...
It was time to sell my home and I was unable to remain in the area. I would need a trustworthy and efficient realtor to represent me with a follow through as good as the sales pitch. I had only one chance to get this right; so panicked. I sent out requests to brokers in the larger (Fargo) area in hopes that their expertise and reliability would meet my immediate needs, and several agencies returned my inquiries with convincing sales responses and follow up calls assuring me of their efficiency. While shopping for household items, and in the process of deciding who would suit my needs, I was recommended by a local business person to Cindy Sillerud from Priority Real Estate in Barnesville. My immediate thoughts were that in such a small town, the reach of a small local realtor would be limited. Days later, a second business owner told me of a realtor " a few doors down." I took notice and asked several folks around town. The repeated advice was that Cindy Sillerud can sell "any home" in Barnesville and for that matter, anywhere else... as quickly and efficiently as the bigger agencies in the Fargo Moorhead area. I saw the use of a realtor as a drain of several thousand dollars. Upon evaluating my home, Cindy gave a fair market figure which actually met my needs and was truly a fair value. I noticed that a few other properties were listed with other realtors from Faro, and I was skeptical, but trusted the people I had spoken to in the area rather than going into the Fargo Moorhead area. My decision was confirmed as soon as Cindy and I had our first (mode of operation) discussion. Skeptic aside, I felt so reassured that she would do all she could to sell my home. Leaving my keys with Cindy, I left town for my new destination. Cindy watched over my home for me, checking on the heating and plumbing daily, checking my mail, keeping track of who entered my home, and keeping the drive cleared of snow. She also screened potential buyers as if they were entering her home. When we received an offer, Cindy took care of EVERYTHING. I never needed to return. The result: Not only did I receive a very fair offer, but the new buyers received a good home. To this day Cindy and I remain friends. I sold a home, and found a new lifelong friend (with Cindy and her husband Dean) as well. We write often and trade photos of our families.
